Liverpool are reportedly impress by the performances of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez as they consider a January move.

It comes from former Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers chief scout Mick Brown, who has good connections in the industry, who has told Football Insider privately that the left-back is one of a number of Cherries stars attracting widespread interest.

Bournemouth have made a fine start to the Premier League season, climbing to fifth after winning eight, drawing four and losing five of their 17 games.

However, several of the highly-rated players have attracted interest from clubs across England and Europe.

The defender’s performances have caught the eye of rival clubs, with Liverpool and United making enquiries into his availability and Carragher believes his former side should move sooner rather than later.

‘Left back is definitely an area Liverpool should be looking to strengthen in January,’ the ex-England defender told Sky Sports.

‘Andy Robertson needs help, he’s a Liverpool legend, he’s won the lot, but the amount of games he’s play, playing in a Jurgen Klopp team, constantly just running up and down that wing for five or six years. He needs a little bit of help in that position.

One of them is 21-year-old Kerkez, after Brown previously told Football Insider he had been link with Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United this season.

However, the Reds have recently emerged as the hottest prospect and are seriously eyeing the left-back as Andy Robertson’s long-term replacement.
